“Political parties are shadows cast by spiritual beings.

Humanity has become so accustomed to abstractions that it can no longer distinguish appearance from reality.

We think naming things, building theories, and organising ourselves around ideologies means we understand the world. Any Intellectual mind attachments are dogmatic limiting beliefs. 

But what if these mind attached constructions (limiting beliefs) obfuscate the very realities they claim to explain?

Take politics.

We speak of liberalism, conservatism, socialism... as though they were independent entities.

Yet Steiner describes political parties as Maya — appearances concealing deeper spiritual forces.

A political party has conventions, programs, principles, doctrines. 

But these are abstractions.

In the spiritual world, abstractions do not exist.

There are beings.

Conservative and liberal tendencies are earthly reflections of Ahrimanic and Luciferic influences.

This does not mean every conservative serves Ahriman or every liberal serves Lucifer. 

It means:

These are earthly reflections of realities belonging to the spiritual world.

The same confusion permeates modern ATTACHED thinking.

Humanity increasingly mistakes its INTELLECTUAL conceptual representations of reality for reality itself.

The materialist investigates the sensory world and searches behind its appearances for atoms and molecules. 

But the sensory world is itself appearance. 

To treat theoretical constructs as ultimate reality is a failure of cognition.

The mystic withdraws inward, seeking the divine in powerful inner sensations. 

But much of what passes for “mystical experience” can be nothing more than bodily processes rising into consciousness. YOU returning to you. Dropping all that you are not. Descending home, grounded and integrated, not ascending off to some premature woo woo heaven in the corporateised sky.. 

Neither necessarily reaches the processes underlying existence.

We need a transformation of cognition.

What matters are the connections expressed somatically through their full feeling, and receptivity.

Knowledge cannot remain JUST a collection of “head” theories.

Human consciousness already is a living capacity to distinguish appearance from reality:

- To notice when thinking becomes rigid. Any dogma any fundamentalism. 

- To notice when inner experience becomes illusion. Get out of your own way. 

- To notice when ideology replaces independent judgment. Attached to any external creed, belief or media opinion. 

Do not abandon politics or science. 

Prevent their abstractions from becoming substitutes for reality. Call out the pretence. Yours. Call out the shaming and blaming. Yours. Call out the attached mind limitations. Yours. 

Humanity does not overcome illusion by accumulating information. 

Humanity must transform the activity of knowing itself.

The hardest illusion to overcome is the ATTACHED MIND belief that, because we have an explanation, we have already understood the reality.”
